Mihrimah Sultan was the daughter of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and his wife Hurrem Sultan, also known as Roxelana. She was born in 1522 and was one of the most influential and powerful women in the Ottoman Empire during the 16th century.
Mihrimah Sultan was known for her intelligence, beauty, and diplomatic skills. She was highly educated and patronized many charitable and cultural organizations. She also played a significant role in the politics of the Ottoman Empire and often acted as a mediator between her father and her brothers.
Mihrimah Sultan was married to Rustem Pasha, who was a prominent Ottoman statesman and military commander. Together, they had two children, a son named Mahmud and a daughter named Ayse. Mihrimah Sultan died in 1578 and was buried in Istanbul, where her tomb still stands as a testament to her powerful influence and legacy.
